Sound Solutions, a trailblazer in the emerging home technology industry, wins the CEA MARK OF EXCELLENCE AWARD for "High End System Of The Year"

The High End System of the Year honors the company that demonstrates the Ultimate in Home Automation Design - The Biggest and the Best, providing creative solutions and which exceed client expectations. Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA commented, "CEA's Mark of Excellence award recognizes the entrepreneurial spirit of this fast growing industry by showcasing companies that go above and beyond in the home networking and automation industry."

Says Sound Solutions' David Epstein: "We have over 27 years of experience delivering technology to the home, and we are honored to be acknowledged with this prestigious award." To qualify, the system had to total at least $50,000. Sound Solutions' entry was "$552,548.

The project encorporates several buildings and vast outdoor areas on a sixty-thousand square foot estate. All controls for the various subsystems (audio/video, CCTV, pool/water, security, motorized window treatments, lighting) are elegantly centralized via easy-to-operate colored touchpanels. Live music in various locations is distributed throughout the estate's audio system. Over 110 individually programmed lighting control stations allow virtually limitless lighting scene selection throughout. To protect valuable antiques and rugs from intense sun, the motorized drapes are synchronized to an astrological clock which tracks sunrise and sunset times. And a pocket touchpanel allows control on the fly while wandering the grounds.
